Process
With messy characters such as these, we went through many 'messy' improvisations. The outside prompts from our director and script writers lead to breakthroughs in the show's quick-witted comedy and heartbreaking character truths.
The script writing process of 'How To Grieve' had everyone in the team grieving at least one idea we each had to let go of. The limit of a 15 minute piece meant every word, movement and line had to ultimately mean something. What a beautiful challenge this show was, even in the final script read through, let alone the performance, there was not a dry eye.
